Accessibility information

The financial administration attaches great importance to the barrier-free usability of its offer for all citizens. authega offers people with disabilities unrestricted access to all electronic services and content.

The basis for the barrier-free design of authega is the regulation for the creation of barrier-free information technology according to the Disability Equality Act (BITV).

authega makes sure, for example, that:

  • informative graphics and images are provided with alternative texts. This information is also accessible to blind users using a screen reader and to users of simple text browsers.
  • the HTML pages from authega are structured correctly. The correct structure of the page elements facilitates handling and understanding for the user. This is especially important for users using a screen reader. Screen readers read the page elements one after the other - in the order in which they appear in the website's source code.
  • Navigation between pages is intuitive. There is a consistent navigation mechanism between pages. This makes it easier for users to understand and find the content of the website.
  • users can set the font size according to their needs. The users can use the classic text-only magnification and zoom magnification of the entire layout without losing any content or functionality.
  • the abbreviations are written out in the text. This not only makes the text easier to understand, but also makes it easier for screen readers to read it aloud.
  • terms are used in the same way throughout. This makes the information easier to understand.
